With the huge release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) yesterday, we can now begin to look at the future and what we can expect from the game. As with every Counter-Strike (CS) game that has been released, we should be fully prepared for the community to leave its stamp all over it by the time the next game in the series comes out. This means community generated maps, game modes, mods, skins(?), and everything in between.
Before we focus on the future, the success of the beta should first be noted.
Fortunately, Hidden Path Entertainment (HPE) released a pretty graphic for us to take a peek at.One that can be immediately noticed from this graphic is that there were a lot of CS:GO rounds played in beta. From this we can conclude that there was a large amount of beta testing for HPE to draw from in order to polish the game. While the game hasn't reached this point quite yet, it is evident they really strive to do so. This can be seen in how they have already released a patch to fix some launch bugs.
