Sony Online Entertainment displays the power of their in-house game engine, ForgeLight, in this latest PlanetSide 2 video.
ForgeLight is the name of the core engine built within PlanetSide 2. ForgeLight was created from the ground up to support the complex environments, fast-paced combat and showcases the beauty, depth and fluidity in this next-gen MMO.
ForgeLight creates a realistic gameplay experience and allows a large amount of players to interact at one time.
Nvidia has released a brand new trailer for PlanetSide 2, showing off the PhysX enhancements that the game recently received.
Today, we're proud to announce that Sony Online Entertainment's battlegrounds have been upgraded and enhanced with the addition of hardware-accelerated PhysX effects that increase the realism and fidelity of several game elements, adding to the spectacle and drawing you deeper into the action.
Particle PhysX effects provide a more immersive experience for the game by adding particles that collide with the environment and litter the environment during battles.

A bit of New Conglomerate lore:
New Conglomerate -- A loosely connected group of rebel factions and idealistic freedom fighters. They fight against the hegemony of the Terran Republic and the fanatical alien influence of the Vanu Sovereignty.
The Devil Dogs, an incredible NC Outfit, shows how it's done. With a high degree of coordination and expertise, they jump in the PlanetSide 2 beta and vie for map dominance. This footage is the third faction-based video released by Sony Online Entertainment, with videos for Vanu Sovereignty and Terran Republic released earlier this month.
The PlanetSide 2 beta is officially ending today after a solid few months of beta testing. With regular content updates and server updates going out, we have incredibly high hopes for PlanetSide 2's longevity. The team at SOE will now take a few days to hammer out any remaining bugs and implement any tweaks that they have left before the game officially launches on November 20th!

Did you know there is a BFR hidden in Planetside 2? Do you know what a BFR is?
In the original PlanetSide, the BFR stood for BattleFrame Robotics. Essentially, it was a massive walking mech with multiple guns, originally developed by the Terran Republic. Each faction perfected the mech to their own liking and the rest is history.
The BFR has not been present in PlanetSide2, however...until now. James made this video guide to show you where to find them.
