Crysis 3 Submachine Guns Overview

Use the navigation at the top to learn everything you need to know about the submachine guns in Crysis 3!

In this section, we'll take a look at the submachine guns from Crysis 3's competitive multiplayer mode. Before we proceed, however, let's take a look at what submachine guns are designed to be used for and how you will best succeed in Crysis 3 with this weapon type.

Submachine guns are ideal for close-quarters engagements and, occasionally, mid-range fights. Typically speaking, you don't want to take a submachine gun out for a stroll if you expect to be out in huge open areas as they just aren't meant for these long distances.

In close encounters, the SMG is going to be your best friend. The hallmark traits of a submachine gun are high rate of fire with moderate recoil or accuracy. In a situation where your target is close in, you will be able to take them down quickly and the lack of accuracy isn't going to be a factor at these ranges. The further away you get, however, things start to get tricky. Over long distances, the recoil becomes instantly noticeable and often drives people away from using them.

We say, know your limitations and the SMG will be a formidable force in your hands. Spend the time mastering the recoil and you can be a force in Crysis 3. In this section, we'll take a closer look at the submachine guns available in Crysis 3. As with all of our pre-released guides, understand that this information is stuff we have gathered from our time with the beta and on forums and message boards.

We do our best to make sure everything is verified before publishing, but understand that sometimes we may be inaccurate on a specific weapon attachment or stat.
