In this section, we'll take a look at the light machine guns from Crysis 3's competitive multiplayer mode. Before we proceed, however, let's take a look at what light machine guns (LMGs) are designed to be used for and how you will best succeed in Crysis 3 with this weapon type.
Sniper Rifles are great for players who aren't as interested in getting their hands dirty in the thick of the main battle. Grab a sniper rifle and find a spot high up, with a great vantage area in front of you.
In terms of accuracy and stopping power, sniper rifles are unrivaled. If you are efficient with them, sniper rifles will usually take your target down in a single shot but, if not, you can almost always squeeze off a second round before they even know where you are. Coupling sniper rifles with stealth suit modules can be a lethal combination, but more on that later. The downside to sniper rifles, of course, is that you are at a complete disadvantage at close, and occasionally mid, ranges. Don't be tempted into running around the map with your sniper rifle, trying to use it while you're mobile. This isn't Call of Duty, this is Crysis and sniper rifles don't work like that here.
This class of weapons is home to the much-anticipated Predator Bow, as well.
Recommended Nanosuit modules when using sniper rifles are:
Auto Armor - instantly activate Maximum Armor upon taking damage.
Scout - paint enemy direction on the minimap during Maximum Radar.
Weapon Pro - reloading faster is great, but tier 2 actually lets you aim down the sights faster which can be a boon when you're snuck up on.

Predator Bow
The Predator Bow. What can we say? This is hands-down the most anticipated weapon in Crysis 3, at least it is around the FPS General office. While this is, of course, a compound bow with different arrow styles, it is classified as a sniper rifle in multiplayer due to its long range capabilities.
As amazing as this weapon was to play with in Hunter Mode during the Crysis 3 multiplayer beta, we actually have very little information on the weapon. Crytek has been quiet on what sort of attachments will be available for the Predator. We know that there are several different types of arrows available for it, but are they all going to be available in competitive multiplayer? That's the question, and right now we just don't have the answers.
We do, however, know that the damage is very high, rated at 14 points out of 20. Accuracy and stability are also very high, so don't expect to have a very difficult time taking shots on target with the Predator. Firing rate leaves a little to be desired, but as it takes some time to get another arrow nocked, it kind of makes sense not to have a very high firing rate. If you go into Crysis 3 expecting the Predator to behave like many sniper rifles, you won't be disappointed.

DSG-1
The DSG-1 is a classic sniper rifle to its core, living up to all of the promises of the weapon type and leaving pretty much nothing to be desired. It is semi-automatic, so if you're not finding yourself as accurate with the Predator Bow but want something with the same range and better firing rate, the DSG-1 is your man.
With accuracy and range both rating at 20 points out of 20, the DSG-1 is a force to say the least. The damage is rated at 14 out of 20, so it might not always be a one-hit kill but two accurate upper body shots should do the trick. Headshots, of course, will be a one-hit kill but sometimes that is easier said than done until you spend some time mastering the weapon.
The recoil on each shot isn't too bad, but it might take some getting used to if you haven't used sniper rifles in other shooters. If you have, then you'll get the hang of the DSG-1 right away.
