This past weekend was supposed to be Battlefield 3's first-ever Double XP weekend, but things didn't work out exactly as planned. If you are a PC player and noticed the lack of Double XP, here's the reason why...
As the weekend got underway, DICE noticed that things weren't working properly on PC. They haven't specified what, exactly, went wrong, but the extra XP gain was quickly shut down and rescheduled. As of now, DICE has announced that the Double XP weekend for PC players will take place on May 26th through the 27th. To the best of our knowledge, this will be PC-exclusive as the console versions of the game didn't have any errors this weekend.
