Players looking for a Battlefield 3 match with bog standard rules and settings have been struggling to do so over the past few weeks. It came to light recently that DICE had rented out the official DICE-operated servers to players, in an effort to provide more customizable servers to their players.
The problem, of course, is that players began customizing these servers in every which way leaving purists out of luck. Thankfully, after the problem was brought to their attention, DICE has offered a solution.
"You should see DICE-hosted servers up today", An EA spokesperson told VentureBeat. "I do not have the exact percentage or number of servers, but we'll continue to monitor this to make sure all players are having the best possible gameplay experience."
Official servers have been going up for the past 24 hours on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so get back out there and enjoy the game! To discuss Battlefield 3, head over to our forum section dedicated to the franchise.
