Battlefield Premium Members Will Not Get Access to Battlefield 4 Beta

In a move that's sure to be popular among loyal Battlefield fans, EA has announced that players who have purchased a Battlefield Premium subscription will not be getting access to the Battlefield 4 beta.

At this time, the only way to get into the Battlefield 4 beta is by pre-ordering Medal of Honor: Warfighter. DICE has already confirmed that there will be other ways to get into the Battlefield 4 beta, but no details have been released on that yet as the primary focus is on Medal of Honor: Warfighter and Battlefield 3. Players had assumed that being Battlefield Premium member would be enough to get into the Battlefield 4 beta but those players were sorely mistaken.

Time will tell if EA eventually overturns this decision, but if they do, expect it to happen post-Medal of Honor; EA will want to get in a few months worth of sales before removing that Battlefield 4 beta exclusivity. Right now, the biggest incentive for Battlefield fans to pick up Medal of Honor: Warfighter is the promise of Battlefield 4 beta access, EA won't be looking to offer more opportunities anytime soon as that would likely lead to lost Medal of Honor sales.

Either way, stay tuned to FPS General, we'll be bringing you the latest on all of these games every day!

Premium subscribers actually thought they'd get BF4 beta included?  They don't know EA very well do they.

Premium only ever offered 5 DLC packs and bonus content, with the last DLC "End Game" coming out around March 2013 and with the BF4 beta now coming out in late 2013 i don't think we will see anymore DLC for BF3 after "End Game" is released, hence the title. But they might still release the odd patch or two and maybe some content like weapon and soldier camos, double XP, etc.

I actually agree with Premium members not getting access to the BF4 beta, because someone who has hardly played BF3 but is still a Premium member or has only just purchased BF3 and Premium and not even played BF3 yet could get access to BF4 beta.

I think they should at least give BF3 Colonel service star 100 players instant access to the BF4 beta because those players have put in the hours with BF3.

I'm guessing that BF4 will be incorporated into battlelog and 6 months after its release there will be a new BF4 Premium offer released just like they've done with BF3.

This is just disgusting. I really disliked EA before this, but now? Pure hatred.

They are trying to get the most money out of battlefield right now. They know that medal of honor wouldnt have many sales without offering the BF4 beta, tapping into the wallets of battlefield fans. This way, they sell you BF3, then they sell you Premium, then they sell you MoH because you want that BF4 beta, then you buy BF4 and another year of premium. If you add that up, thats alot of money

If last time is anything to go by I got 1 day of early access before the Open "Beta" started. EA royally fucked up the sending out of codes. I actually got mine on my third attempt at the Live Chat. People do not fall for this Bull.
