DICE Updates Battlelog, Create Custom Classes In-Browser

DICE has updated Battlelog, the online service that lets players connect to Battlefield 3 matches and interact with their friends, allowing them to create custom classes right from the browser.

This functionality is nice for people who find themselves wishing to make changes outside of the actual game. Perhaps you're on the FPS General forums and someone mentions having success with a particular loadout? Players are able to jump on to Battlelog, make those changes and they will be reflected in the game. Alternately, you can copy a friend's loadout and apply it to your game.

Also discovered with this update is a 20x zoom scope for the L96 sniper rifle. The attachment is currently locked so no word on when that will be unlocked or if it is part of an upcoming DLC offering.

    Very cool new feature but they should have had this from the start IMO, now they need to make an option like this so you can change your key bindings.

    I beat they get everything right like 6 man squads, VoIP, etc. one week before BF4 is released and when no one is playing BF3 anymore.

    It's starting to look more and more like BF3 wasa big and expensive beta for BF4. Things are starting to come together, this will continue until they release bf4 and they have it all sussed out. Even the things which were promised and undelivered could be put into it however I don't think they'll change the things which ruined the title. It'll be the same infantry-focused game but with less bugs from the go.

    Cool! I'd now like to see some hi-res maps which which we can draw plans and strategies on (or just use to talk about games) like you had in the BFBC2 War Room (http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/war-room - I think this only works if you are signed into the BFBC2 site).
