Gearbox Software has announced that Borderlands 2, their upcoming first-person shooter, is heading off to certification - in other words, it's done!
The game will now go through rigorous testing, to make sure that all of the content on the disc is ready for the game to release on September 18th. Now, the focus at Gearbox shifts to post-launch support. The first item on the agenda is the Mechromancer character class that will be released as free DLC about 60 - 90 days after Borderlands 2 launches.
The Mechromancer, seen above, is going to be released free to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club. Getting into the Premiere Club, however, is as simple as pre-ordering any version of Borderlands 2 and let's face it, you probably did that months ago.
