Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Call of Duty 2012 Reveal Planned For Next Month?

According to the image above (click to enlarge), which leaked online earlier this afternoon, Activision and Treyarch want us to 'Return for Debriefing' on May 2nd, 2012. Hm, what could that mean?

You may remember back in February, a listing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 arrived on Amazon's French website. Follow that up with the supposed leak of information just earlier this month, and the distinct design work on the invitation above and we're confident that a reveal for Black Ops 2 is just around the corner. Based on the design rotation, 2012 is Treyarch's year for a Call of Duty title and it has been widely speculated that the studio will be working on a follow-up to 2011's record breaking FPS release Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Black Ops, of course, followed the missions of the Special Operations Group or SOG. These missions, never officially recognized by any government agency, were known as Black Operations or, Black Ops. Without giving anything away, the story in Black Ops definitely left a few holes open for a sequel so we're anxious to see what Activision has up their sleeves next month.
