Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Black Ops 2 Title & Release Date Confirmed by Target Pre-Order Cards

Brand new images surfacing this afternoon have confirmed both the release date and the title of this year's Call of Duty release. As expected, the game is to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (although it is stylized Black Ops II) and will hit shelves on November 13th - one week after Halo 4 drops.

The leak comes in the form of pre-order cards sent to IGN. The cards, which are set to be made available at American retailer Target, will act as placeholders for folks wanting to pre-order a copy of the upcoming game.

As you can see in the image (click to enlarge), the Call of Duty: Black Ops II branding is evident as well as the November 13th, 2012 release date.

Interestingly, the styling of the Black Ops II logo is right on par with the box art that we were convinced wasn't legitimate. These pre-order cards are a different story, nothing about these images suggests anything but authenticity.

Check out the image above and we're looking forward to more information on May 1st!
