According to the image above, which leaked online earlier today, some form of Nuketown will be returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Nuketown, as you may remember, is perhaps the most iconic Call of Duty map released in the original Black Ops. The map is very small, set in a mock urban neighborhood in the middle of the desert where nuclear weapons are tested. The map had mannequins spread throughout the map and two 50's era houses set on opposite sides of the map. Nuketown became so popular that some Black Ops servers still run Nuketown 24/7, rotating game modes exclusively on Nuketown.
In the image above, we see some promotional materials for 'Nuketown 2025', only available in a limited edition of Black Ops II. It looks like it is a revamped version of the map, however, "reimagined in a visionary depiction of the 'model home of the future'...
The offer hasn't been oficially announced by Activision, but with this leak, we wouldn't expect it to be too long before the publisher issues an official statement. We'll update this post if and when Activision comments on the leak.
