Crysis 3 is probably going to be a great game. Both previous iterations were fun, boasted incredible graphics and were just all around good video games. All signs point to Crysis 3 following in their footsteps.
The game is set to ship on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, but after watching the latest trailer for the game, we're starting to feel like there really is only one way you're going to want to play Crysis 3 and that's on a high-end PC. The latest trailer shows off the tech side of things, made possible by Crytek's infinitely impressive game engine, CryEngine3. The trailer above is made up entirely of actual in-game footage, rather than impressive CGI cooked up in a studio someplace.
And there is no way that Crytek has managed to pull this much out of a console. It just isn't possible with current console technology. This trailer was captured on a PC, using all of the beautiful backend features that players on that platform will be able to utilize.
Chances are, Crysis 3 will be a great and beautiful experience on any platform - home console or otherwise - but, for our money, we're going with PC. There was a time not too long ago when Crysis was the standard by which all other high-end PCs were measured, after all.
Check out the tech trailer above!
