Electronic Arts kicked off their E3 2012 press event with the official confirmation of Dead Space 3!
This is a game we've been looking forward to since hearing rumors back in April of this year. The game once agains puts players in the boots of Isaac Clarke, but this time he's heading to a snowbound planet with hopes of finally eradicating the Necromorph forces once and for all. Joining Clarke is a new character by the name of John Carver. Carver is a merciless soldier who will be the player character of Player Two in Dead Space 3's co-op mode, which we saw a bit of at EA's press event...
The ice planet that Clarke and Carver will be heading to is known as Tau Volantis and, while we're excited to explore this new game world, it certainly feels different than previous Dead Space games. The sense of foreboding doesn't seem to be the same, as the world is much more open. Dead Space 3 didn't look entirely like a survival horror game, but it's too early to tell for sure.
