Trion Worlds has released the official E3 trailer for their upcoming third-person shooter, tv show hybrid Defiance and the game is still looking as exciting and ambitious as ever.
Trion Worlds has been relatively quiet in regards to Defiance for the past few months, so if you're unfamiliar with the game, here's a bit of backstory on why you should be excited. Defiance is not just an ambitious game, it's also a science fiction show that will be broadcast on SyFy Channel. The tv program will serve to bring more depth and immersion to the story as you not only come to understand the narrative, but become familiar with the game world and characters that both properties will share.
As for the game itself, Defiance is a third-person shooter with the persistent game world found in MMO's. Think of it as something similar to PlanetSide 2 or Tribes: Ascend with their massively multiplayer FPS genre, except that the camera is pulled back over the shoulder and the story is given greater life thanks to the SyFy experience.
