Story details and some concept art on Bungie Studios' next big project, Destiny, hit the Internet earlier this week, stirring things up and generating some major hype for the upcoming game. While fans are eagerly devouring everything they can find on the upcoming game, an interesting discovery was made by the community.
As seen in the image above, Bungie - the former Halo developer - actually teased Destiny in Halo 3: ODST...released in 2009. 3 years ago. What's more is that Halo 3: OSDT wasn't even Bungie's last Halo game, but rather Halo: Reach has that designation. That means that throughout the design and development process on Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach, Bungie had at least a vague idea as to what they would be working on when they ultimately ceased to develop Halo games.
This easter egg was confirmed last night via former-Bungie developer and current 343 Industries employee, Vic Deleon:
IT'S FINALLY BEEN FOUND! @rhyd1z3l_:u used to work at bungie..why is 'Destiny' in Halo 3 ODST? you sly foxes you twitter.com/Rhyd1z3L_/stat…
