Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer, showing off some of the features that the games native map editor will feature when Far Cry 3 ships next month.
With the map editor, players will be able to create totally custom multiplayer maps from scratch and share them online for other players to download and play for themselves. The sandbox tool has some incredible depth with a staggering 2000+ items and setpieces that you can place inside the map. Players will be able to randomly generate maps and can then customize them to their hearts content, as well.
Once you've built your map, including custom terrain objects like ruins, waterfalls, forests and more, you can select the time of day and weather patterns that the map should feature. Share your map online where other players can download and rate the map. Ultimately, your map may receive gold tier status which would see it played online alongside official Ubisoft-produced content.
The sandbox tools also carry over to singleplayer, where you can populate the game world with various elements and 'create your own insanity' as Ubisoft says.
