Summer is just heating up and to kick off the month of July, we're setting out to find the greatest first- or third-person shooter character of all time!

From Duke Nukem to GLaDOS; Nathan Drake to Gordon Freeman, the world of shooters has seen more than its fair share of memorable and iconic characters, but we're determined to crown a champion. To do so, however, we need your help! The FPS General Bracket Challenge is a user-voted competition, pitting 64 of the most iconic shooter characters against each other to find out who will reign victorious.

To sweeten the deal a bit, we are going to be giving away one lucky winner an Xbox 360! After we crown a king or queen of shooter lore, we'll be drawing one random winner who will walk away with a brand new home gaming console to call their own. Every week will see a new round of voting based on a 64-character tournament bracket (to be revealed later today). Now, to maximize your chances to win the Xbox 360, we are going to be giving every user a new entry each week...

So once you visit FPSGeneral.com to cast your weekly vote, you will be able to submit another entry into the Xbox 360 sweepstakes. This means that you will be able to submit your name up to five times if you check back in with us each week to cast your vote!
