Gears of War 3

Bulletstorm Developer Involved in New Gears of War Release

People Can Fly, the studio who produced 2011's first-person shooter Bulletstorm, have been confirmed to be working on the upcoming Gears of War game that was just semi-announced yesterday.

After speculation broke out last night as to whether People Can Fly may be involved in this mysterious new Gears of War release, Mike Capps, President of Epic Games, jumped into the discussion and confirmed it. When Kotaku's Stephen Totilo asked, "Do I detect People Can Fly involvement?", Capps jumped in with a very clear, "YES YES YES!".

It doesn't get any clearer than that, folks...

As to the extent of their involvement, neither Mike Caps nor Adrian Chmielarz, Creative Director at People Can Fly, have commented. It remains unclear if People Can Fly are working entirely on the game or whether they will be supporting longtime Gears developer Epic Games.

E3 is just around the corner and we'll be sure to have more information when the game is revealed on June 4th!
