Ubisoft announced earlier this month that the physical copy of Ghost Recon: Alpha, the short film that serves as a prequel to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, would be available in stores on May 22nd - the same day that the game hits shelves.

Ghost Recon: Alpha is a great, fun to watch action film that makes great use of the Ghost Recon property. The Ghosts are sent in behind enemy lines and discover a massive bomb. Facing off against enemy soldiers and a lethal (and awesome) mech, the squad must disarm the weapon and evacuate to safety.
The film features some really classy special effects - it isn't overdone or gaudy, but rather adds to the intensity of the film. It's rather satisfying to see the optic camouflage in action in Ghost Recon: Alpha, when he had such a blast using it in the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta.
