Last month, we took a look at some of the changes that 343 Industries is making to Halo 4's competitive multiplayer component. Tweaking Halo is a risky endeavor; on one hand, 343 Industries wants to innovate the franchise and bring a fresh face to the franchise. Halo 4's multiplayer experience resides inside of the Infinity, and players will be immersed in the sights and sounds of the ship as they customize their Spartan IV's arsenal, apperance and role.

For a closer look at Spartan Ops, the episodic multiplayer experience that blends cinematic storytelling with co-op gameplay, be sure to check out our special feature on the game mode.
War Games, on the other hands, is the new name for Halo 4's competetive online component - the bread and butter for most Halo players. These matches will take place on the Infinity combat deck, but 343 Industries is keeping quiet about this aspect of the game for now. We know that the game will feature more vehicles, weapons and customization options than ever before and we can't wait to check it out in person.
Also announced today are the special editions of Halo 4, including some really awesome extra content both in-game and physical. Check out the special edition of Halo 4 at http://halo.xbox.com/!
