5TH Cell was on hand in Los Angeles, showing off Hybrid, their upcoming Xbox Live Arcade third-person shooter. The game has some pretty awesome mechanics that we think our readers will be excited about.
Hybrid takes place in post-apocalyptic world and pits the Variant and the Paladin against each other in battle. Every player in Hybrid is equipped with a jetpack and while flying combat in the game is very fun and satisfying, it's also a requirement to get around the map. Unless you like falling to your death through the areas of the map with nothing below but death, you'll have to use the jetpack to make your way around the area.
Hybrid is shipping with some pretty fun game modes, aside from classic Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. There is also Kings, where you must defend a base area and Crazy Kings where the base moves around the map. Also shipping with the game is Artifact mode which requires players to haul an artifact to their base. While you're carrying the artifact, however, you're noted for everyone to see making you public enemy #1.
