Mass Effect 3 players have a little something to look forward to this weekend, as BioWare has issued a brand new multiplayer challenge to the community.
Players who jump on Mass Effect 3 multiplayer across all platforms - PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC - will have the chance to earn either a Victory Pack, a Commendation Pack or possibly both if the community hits this challenge with our full might. Starting tonight, at 6:00PM PST, the clock starts ticking! Mass Effect 3 players are tasked with killing one million Cerberus Phantoms during the course of this weekend. That is a collective number, of course, not even Shepard can take out a million Cerberus Phantoms solo in one weekend.
Alternately, players can take their squad out on any map and simply survive until you are extracted. Oh, and it has to be on Gold difficulty. Doing this will earn you and your squad a Commendation Pack. If we can band together and hit this challenge hard, the entire Mass Effect 3 multiplayer army will earn a Victory Pack in honor of our exploits in battle.
