Mass Effect 3 was an epic game, there can be no arguments about that. But the way that the franchise concluded has become one of the most disputed events in gaming since the flashlight incident in DOOM 3.
On one side of the fence, you have people who were perfectly happy with the way that the tale of Commander Shepard came to a close while others were sorely disappointed. BioWare listens to their community and they care, and this can be evidenced by the Extended Cut DLC. While the DLC doesn't change the ending of Mass Effect 3, it brings more out of it. The Extended Cut DLC expands on the results of the choices that the player made during the course of their journey through Mass Effect 3. Some of those choices were heavy and had even heavier consequences, but such is life...
