Rockstar Games and Marvel have teamed up to create a comic book series based around Rockstar's iconic game franchise, Max Payne.
The series, which was announced this morning, will span three issues. Written by Rockstar's Dan Houser and Remedy Entertainment's Sam Lake, the series will focus on Max Payne's troubled past. This includes the events in and around Max Payne, Max Payne 2 and Rockstar Games' upcoming title Max Payne 3. Taking the helm with inks and pencils is Fernando Blanco, while Greg Horn has crafted the cover art. The series promises to shed new light on Max Payne's early years, which is probably enough to convince any die-hard Max Payne fan to give them a look.
Issue #1: After the Fall, will be available for free online at http://www.rockstargames.com/maxpayne3/ in the next few weeks. Rockstar Games has also mentioned that the series will be available through other digital comic mediums, so stay tuned for more information on that as we have it.
