Rockstar Games has released a new weapons spotlight, focusing on the 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol - one of Max Payne 3's many lethal weapons.
The M1911 pistol - so called for its service debut of the year 1911 - is one of the video game industries favorite pistols. Nearly every modern shooter has featured the M1911; whether in a World War II setting, the Cold War or modern combat, the M1911 is a staple in first-person shooters. In Max Payne 3, the pistol acts as a "hard-hitting, reliable handgun" that Max has made good use of since his days working with the NYPD.
The pistols can be made good use of while entering Bullet Time in Max Payne 3, the game mechanic that allows Max to slow down the flow of time and pick off targets as he sees them. Coupling a pair of M1911's and Max Payne's Shootdodge maneuver will make you a dangerous beast to encounter in the fight.
