Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Medal of Honor: Warfighter Developer Diary, Plus Battlefield 4 Confirmation!

Last week, Electronic Arts' digital delivery platform Origin spilled the beans on an eventual Battlefield 4, with the promise that pre-ordering Medal of Honor: Warfighter will get you access to that beta.

EA has not commented on the matter, however, until today. With the release of a brand new Medal of Honor: Warfighter developer diary, the team has officially announced what we already knew. Pre-ordering Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition will guarantee you access to Battlefield 4's beta, whenever that beta goes live - presumably in 2013. This, of course, means that Electronic Arts has finally put Battlefield and Medal of Honor on the 'Call of Duty Development Cycle' and we can expect to see bi-annual installments in the Battlefield franchise.

We'll let you decide if that's for the best or not.

The developer diary is a must-watch if you're looking forward to Medal of Honor: Warfighter like we are. The game looks great and multiplayer Creative Director Kristoffer Bergqvist does a great job describing the new features in the game. Warfighter really doesn't look like 2010's Medal of Honor reboot at all, and we can't wait to get some hands-on with the game.

The new Fireteam Buddy system sounds like a great way to encourage teamwork, as well. Your Fireteam Buddy can help you out with ammo drops and more. Stay close to your buddy and when he goes down, his aggressor will be outlined in red. Take the enemy down and your Fireteam Buddy will immediately respawn at your side, getting him back in the game just that much more quickly.

The developer video is embedded above, enjoy!
