According to Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, the next iteration of Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 franchise may be heading to next generation hardware.
Speaking to Polygon, Guillemot said that Rainbow 6: Patriots is looking great and that 'there's a good chance' that it may end up debuting on next-generation hardware, namely Sony and Microsoft's next major consoles. In the conversation, Guillemot also said...
"The only thing I can say is that we have a good team working on it, and it's really looking good. So when it will come, it will surprise the industry."
Rainbow 6: Patriots follows the actions of a domestic terrorist organization known as the 'True Patriots'. Seeking economic equality - albeit through less than diplomatic means - the True Patriots are attacking New York City in an effort to overthrow the current economic system and replace it with something more equal.
Rainbow 6: Patriots is currently in-development at Ubisoft Montreal, with Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm providing support.
