Tripwire Interactive has announced that the price of their World War II shooter, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, has been slashed in two, down from $39.99 to just $19.99.
This comes shortly after the release of the Red Orchestra 2: Game of the Year edition. The game of the year edition celebrates Red Orchestra 2 winning 'Multiplayer FPS of the Year' from PC Gamer. The new edition comes with the base game plus brand new game modes, a new multiplayer map and a handful of bug fixes and performance tweaks, making this the definitive version of Red Orchestra 2.
If you already own Red Orchestra 2, your game will automatically be updated with the new Game of the Year content update. Additionally, if you're hoping to convince players why they should check out Red Orchestra 2, owners of the game have been given a Guest Pass which you can gift to a friend on Steam. The guest pass will get them into Red Orchestra 2 temporarily without any cost to you or them.
Now is definitely an amazing time to get in on Red Orchestra 2, as the Rising Storm expansion pack will be releasing soon and takes the action to the Pacific Theater of combat during World War II.
