We have two major announcements out of the Valve camp in Bellevue, WA today, so brace yourselves.
First off, today is the day that many Team Fortress 2 fans have been waiting for. After years of playing as the character, we're finally getting a chance to Meet the Pyro. Valve has released their latest animated short, which focuses on the Pyro player class. Up until today, every character class had a Meet The Team short besides the poor, lonely Pyro. That all changes with the release of Meet the Pyro, which you can check out above.
The second announcement is really exciting...
Valve has announced that they will be releasing the Source Filmmaker, the design tool that the studio has used to produce all of the Meet the Team shorts. The SFM will be released later this year, but if you stop by http://www.sourcefilmmaker.com/, you can sign up for the beta and check out the design tool in action. This will allow players like you and I to create our very own animated shorts, in Team Fortress 2 and (we believe) other Source games.
