Hi-Rez Studios has revealed to Gamasutra that they recently surpassed 800,000 register players for their free-to-play FPS Tribes: Ascend!
The game has only officially been out of beta for a little over two weeks, so this number is pretty staggering. Not only is the Tribes franchise steeped in history, but the gameplay itself is enjoyable and very enticing for new players. For new players, watching Tribes: Ascend videos compels you to give the game a chance and as there is no fee to get started, Tribes: Ascend couldn't be more accessible.
