• Rush Mode Makes Its Debut in Battlefield Play4Free

    Easy Studios - the other guys that make Battlefield games - have introduced the classic Battlefield game mode Rush in Battlefield Play4Free. The game mode is live as of this morning, ready to play right now.

    Rush Mode, if you're not familiar with it, is an objective-based game mode in which players take turns defending and attacking points on the map. The defending team begins with 2 M-COM stations that need to be defended, while the attacking team is bent on destroying them. Attackers can either successfully plant charges on the M-COM stations or inflict enough heavy damage to put them out of commision. Defenders are able to defuse charges and must set up a strong defense to keep the enemy from destroying the stations.

    If both M-COM stations are destroyed, the defending team will fall back and a new portion of the map will open up with two more M-COM stations. The match ends when the defending team successfully keeps the enemy from destroying their M-COM stations or when the attacking team manages to destroy all 8 stations.

  • Kit Yourself Out With Some Ghastly Halloween Gear in Battlefield Heroes

    Everybody loves a good Halloween celebration, and there's no reason to leave your video games out in the dark. We've seen a few great Halloween celebrations going on in games, and Battlefield Heroes is leading the charge.

    The team at Easy Studios has released an absolute ton of great new Halloween-themed content, ranging from straightforward costumes to Underworld Portals and even new weapons to equip yourself with. There's a ton of new content, much of which can be seen in the video above.

    The Underworld Portals are special Halloween supply drops, containing rare pieces of the Demon of Chaos, which you can collect. As with any supply drop, you never know what is going to be inside of it but at the very least, you're going to be getting an item that is worth as much as the cost of the Underworld Portal itself, so it's not too risky.

    Also, for our money, we're going to be picking up Ichabod's Twisted Set for our Royal hero (because we all know that the Royal Army is superior). There's something about that wicked looking pumpkin head and skeletal frame that looks just about as badass as you can get for Halloween. For you National Army dogs, there is also the Reaper's Skeletal Set which is similar to Ichabod's Set although more skeletal and less pumpkin-headed.

  • Battlefield Heroes Gets A Brand New Map, Check Out Inland Invasion


    Electronic Arts and Easy Studios have announced a brand new multiplayer map for their popular free to play shooter, Battlefield Heroes. The map is called Inland Invasion and features some great new additions to the game.

    First off, players will be able to pilot boats in Battlefield Heroes for the first time. Inland Invasion takes the battle to the shoreline in a World War II style map. Every good Battlefield map has a story behind it, and Inland Invasion is no exception.

    National troops have been stationed at an emergency coastal outpost after hearing of Royal plans to attack from the sea any day. Royals will need to attack from land sea and air if they even hope to stand a chance as they their way to the beach and head inland to push back the National forces. If you can claim all flags then the Nationals will no longer have anywhere to spawn.

    The Royal Army starts in boats with no flags to their credit. Their goal is to storm the beach and capture flags from the National Army. The match ends when one team is forced to 0 tickets or when the Royal Army can push back the Nationals enough so that they no longer have flags in their possession to spawn on. In that case, it's simply a matter of finding the remaining Nationals and taking them down.

  • Celebrate Three Years of Battlefield Heroes With New Content, Updates and More!

    Three years ago, to the day, Electronic Arts and Easy Studios released Battlefield Heroes, a fun, more lighthearted spin-off on their popular Battlefield franchise.

    Battlefield Heroes quickly became one of the most popular free to play shooters, gaining a userbase of over 12 million players worldwide. To celebrate the three year anniversary, EA is releasing some brand new content to the game, including a brand new map, 'Fortress Frenzy'. Also coming to Battlefield Heroes' are two new, free Party Packs. All you have to do to get your party packs is log in to the game between June 25th (today) and July 1st, click 'My Stuff' and select 'Rewards'. The party packs include "a Battlefield Heroes Birthday Shirt, a Tricycle Emote that lasts for 3-days and a new Treasure Chest Key."

  • Battlefield Play4Free Myanmar Map Preview, Screenshots

    Easy Studios and Electronic Arts have released a handful of screenshots showing off the brand new map, Myanmar, in Battlefield Play4Free.

    Like all good Battlefield maps, the location is more than just a place to shoot bullets in; Myanmar has a pretty neat backstory...

    In an effort to reinforce its Atlantic fleet in the Persian gulf, the Russian army has launched a major offensive to take out the American airbases protecting the South China Sea. With the American installations destroyed, the Russian pacific fleet would be able to move through the Malacca strait, and engage the depleted American fleet holding the Persian gulf.

    Russian ground forces are now moving stealthily through the jungles of South East Asia along the historic Ho Chi Min trail aiming to destroy the crucial air assets in the region. Intercepted communications have allowed American marines in the region to be rapidly deployed in an effort to halt this Russian offensive, protect the crucial airbases in the region, and stop the Russian navy from gaining control of the Indian ocean and, ultimately, the Persian gulf.
