• Robotoki's First Release Will Be Human Element, a Zombie Survival Game

    Robotoki, the studio founded just a few months ago by ex-Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling, has officially announced its first release!

    Human Element is the name of the game and it pits players against Zombies, presumably formed together in a horde of some fashion. But before you jump to conclusions that this is just a rehash of Call of Duty's Zombies game mode, you'll want to learn more about the title.

    First off, aside from the Zombie aspect, none of the early announced features remind us of Call of Duty's popular co-op mode.

    In Human Element, players are going to be faced with some interesting choices right from the get go. To start with, players will choose a player type; Action, Intelligence or Stealth. After that, you choose how you want to enter Robotoki's game world - Survive Alone, Survive with a Partner or, our personal favorite, Survive with a Child. The concept of not only fending for yourselffrom these hungry Zombies, but having to defend a somewhat defenseless dependant is incredibly promising.

    Last month, Robert Bowling resigned from his long-standing role as Infinity Ward Creative Strategist rather abruptly, leaving many to wonder where he would end up and what caused the split.

    While we still don't have answers for the latter, we do know what Bowling will be up to in the future. Earlier this week, via Game Informer, Robert Bowling announced the formation of his game studio Robotoki (pronounced Robot Oh-Kee unless we're mistaken). Bowling has always been ambitious, his tenure as Creative Strategist on all three Modern Warfare games saw Infinity Ward completely renovate the way first-person shooters can be played in the current gaming space.
