Ravaged is a game that looks incredibly promising, but might have slipped under your radar if you weren't paying close attention. We're working on a hands-on piece with the current beta test but, in the meantime, let's take a look at what 2Dawn Games has revealed so far.
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, similar to id Software's RAGE. In Ravaged, the world has been...ravaged...by natural disasters caused by massive solar flares. The game features two factions; The Resistance and the Scavengers, as they both struggle to exist in this rugged wasteland. While there seems to be some promise in the game's story, Ravaged is a multiplayer-only game with a heavy focus on vehicular combat.
If you played id Software's 2011 shooter, RAGE, you'll remember that multiplayer was vehicle-only. Pretty much the biggest complaint about that game was that, for a first-person shooter, there was a remarkable lack of first-person shooting in multiplayer. In a nutshell, Ravaged is what we all hoped RAGE would be.
