Focusing in on the multiplayer map Meltdown, he focuses on map control and map awareness. As explained in the video, map control and map awareness are not the same things, and here's why:
Map awareness is simply understanding what is around you at any given time. Something like an extra layer of mental awareness, so that you know when you are in a room with two entrances and where you can be spotted from at any given time. Map control, on the other hand, is the ability to alter those surroundings with scorestreak rewards and equipment.
Placing a Claymore in the only available entrance to your building is map control. Knowing that it's the only available entrance is map awareness.
